Understand that this love — to be protected beyond being hurt — is not only possible, it’s demonstrable by some we know. It was authored by Jesus, and it’s available to us.
It’s a love that would love those who hurt and not be hurt.
It’s true. God can gift an ordinary person with such inner loving capacity. God can and does make it possible that we’d know the hurt that was destined for us, but that we’d not feel the full force of it.
Want this?
Too susceptible to the pain of hurt?
Pray to God with a steady heart; continue to do so. Gently the transformation will occur. Believe it will and so it’ll gradually take place. Upon our full surrender to the will of God, and the courage of our honesty, the Lord will take the full brunt of capsizing hurts.
Then we will be free to spend our hearts repealing the hurts — in Jesus’ name — of those who would seek to hurt us. They only hurt us because they themselves are hurting. In God’s name we want them freed, as we want ourselves freed.
God’s power anoints the crushing of this hurt cycle.
