LEGO blocks (which are “Registered,” by the way) are synonymous to the potential and construction of all our relationships. This is where life is not a numbers game. We can bear only a ‘few blocks’ before our social needs avalanche. Yet, we can be so apt at “counting” our popularity—so afraid we are of missing out, can’t we be?
And yet again, we have people who’re so perfectly comfortable “owning” only one Lego block; relationally monogamous and introverted, all their focus goes into a personal interest and this one person. Quaint and novel? All too rare in this day.
Real social affluence—as opposed to the concept of financial affluence—seems defined by the depth and meaning in our closest relationships i.e. the fewer the better.
